GENERAL

Measuring Principal:

By applying the occurrence of electromotive force proportional to the flow velocity when fluid moves in the magnetic field, the meter can measure the flow velocity of conductive liquid. It calculates the instantaneous flow rate, integrated flow rate, etc. from the measured flow velocity.

System Configuration:

The meter consists of a sensor that detects the flow rate and a transmitter that amplifies, converts, and
transmits the signal. Structurally, there is an integral type of sensor and transmitter, and a separate type which is separated. In the separated type, the signal cable for the flow signal and the excitation cable for the coil excitation are added to the constituent elements.
The sensor part and the transmitter part for the integral type are simply referred to as a sensor and a transmitter respectively. The integral type is also called as an integral type flowmeter. As for the components of separate type, they are also called as a remote sensor and a remote transmitter.

Dari jenis flow meter ultrasonic berdasarkan cara instalasinya yang paling banyak di sukai adalah jenis installasi clamp on karena sangat cocok di aplikasikan pada pipa yang sangat besar ataupun pada pipa yang mereka tidak ingin terganggu proses produksinya.
Pada jenis flowmeter ultrasonic clamp on  dapat diaplikasikan pada jenis flow meter yang portable maupun pada jenis fix installasi karena cara instalasinya cukup sederhana dan cepat. Flowmeter clamp on ultrasonic adalah jenis flow meter yang cara kerjanya menggunakan ultra sound dan cara instalasinya cukup dengan di clamp pada permukaan pipa. Yang dimaksud dengan cara instalasi clamp on adalah saat melakukan instalasi kita tidak perlu memotong pipa maupun melubangi pipa.

Dengan melakukan pemotongan pipa atau melubangi pipa, akan menghambat proses produksi karena aliran air harus di matikan. Selain itu biaya untuk memotong atau melubangi pipa yang dilanjutkan dengan pengelasan conection,  berupa flange atau fitting tidak murah dan butuh waktu yang cukup lumayan. Flowmeter Ultrasonic Inline

Flowmeter Ultrasonic yang banyak beredar digunakan di dunia industri selama ini lebih banyak menggunakan jenis flowmeter yang cara installasinya menggunakan sistem clamp on yaitu instalasi yang tidak perlu memotong pipa maupun melubangi pipa. Karena itu anggapan sebagaian besar para enginner jika di sodorkan ultrasonic flow meter selalu di indentikan clamp on flow meter. Padahal ultrasonic flow meter ini merupakan satu satunya flow meter yang mempunyai karakteristik dalam melakukan installai tidak perlu dilakukan dengan mengehentikan aliran dalam pipa terlalu lama dan diidentikan tanpa harus menutup valve atau mematikan pompa.

Open Channel Ultrasonic Flow Meter

Flow meter open channel adalah flow meter yang dapat diaplikasikan untuk mengukur aliran dengan kapasitas yang sedang seperti pada channel atau parit hingga kapasitas besar seperti pada gorong gorong ataupun sungai.
Open channel flow meter digunakan pada suatu aliran dengan sitem terbuka dan aliran biasanya di dasarkan karena perbedaan ketinggian atau adanya gaya gravitasi jadi tanpa menggunakan pressure dari pompa. Cara kerja dari jenis flow meter open channel adalah menghitung kecepatan aliran dengan mempertimbangkan ketinggian permukaan yang dikalkulasikan terhadap titik luas penampang cahnnel yang dipasang flow meter.

FT520 Batch  flow Control

The FT500-Series batch flow control is a batching flow processor with additional output controls. It is designed for use with Seametrics flow meters and flow sensors, as well as other manufacturer’s products which have frequency output proportional to flow. In addition to batch functions, the FT500-Series indicates flow rate, and other data in large 3/8” (9.66 mm) digits on an easily-read, backlight  display. Units of measure are user selectable, and range from milliliters per second to millions of gallons per day. The unit can be 110 Vac powered with a standard 3-wire cord (included), 220 Vac powered (optional), or DC powered through an internal terminal strip.

An analog output of 4-20 mA is available both in active and passive loop configuration, and in 0-5 Vdc or 0-10 Vdc outputs, and can be used in applications such as flow rate logging. Two programmable pulse scaled outputs are also standard, and can be used, for example, to provide proportional chemical feed with a pulse-responsive metering pump.

1. Setting FT520 for Batch Controller


In Batch Processing Mode, the display indicates a flow rate on the top line, and one of three configurations on the bottom line: an accumulated total flow (resettable), accumulated batch flow, or batch process bar graph. The batch output is controlled via two relays. The main relay starts and stops the batch as a set, or the auxiliary “prewarn” relay can be used to operate a second valve. This allows increased accuracy by engaging a staged shut off at the end of the batch.

A single relay or alternate relay setting allows control of either single tank or alternating dual tank systems.

the flow rate increases/decreases back between the min/max settings.

4. FT522 Usage Monitor


In Usage Monitor Mode, the display indicates one of two configurations: an elapsed time and elapsed flow, and a flow rate and accumulated total flow (resetable). A time period is set to monitor for a set maximum total flow. If the total flow is reached within the set time, an output relay is closed.
The output relay stays latched until the system either resets automatically after the set time, or is reset manually via Stop/Start. A reset condition clears the elapsed time and flow, but not the accumulated total flow.

Rheonik Mass Flow Meter

Rheonikmass flow meter has more than twenty years of experience in the field of Coriolis mass flow meter design and development. Beginning in 1984, Karl Küppers began the design of a mass flow meter based upon the Coriolis effect that later  became the patented Omega tube Coriolis mass flow meter manufactured by Rheonik today.

The RHEONIK mass flow meter consists of one of the RHM series flow sensors and one RHE series transmitter. The RHE 11 (Ex d) may be installed and operated in hazardous Ex-areas (Zone 1 or 2). Coriolis Mass Flow Sensor

Rheonik Mass Flow Meter operating on the “Coriolis principle” contains a vibrating tube in which a fluid flow causes changes in frequency, phase shift or amplitude. The sensor signal is fed into the integrally mounted pc-board. The resulting output signal is strictly proportional to the real mass flow rate, whereas thermal mass flow meters are dependent of the physical properties of the fluid. Rheonik Coriolis mass flow measurement is fast and very accurate.

Rheonik Mass Flow Meter work on the principle that the inertia created by fluid flowing through an oscillating tube causes the tube to twist in proportion to mass flow rate. Many Coriolis meters have two tubes. They are made to vibrate in opposition to each other by means of a magnetic coil. Sensors in the form of magnet and coil assemblies are mounted on the inlet and the outlet of both flow tubes. As the coils move through the magnetic field created by the magnet, they create a voltage in the form of a sine wave. These sine waves are the key to measuring mass flow.

Rheonik Mass Flow Meter are the most accurate flow meters made. While many magnetic flow meters have accuracy in the range of 0.5 percent, many Coriolis flow meters achieve accuracy of 0.1 %. It is the high accuracy of Coriolis flow meters that is one of the major reasons for their extremely rapid growth over the past five years. Companies that need flow meters for custody transfer, or want highly accurate measurements in terms of mass, have a good reason to select Coriolis flow meters also very easy to installation.

All Rheonik coriolis mass flow meters are based on a patented Omega tube design with increased signal-to-noise ratio, for excellent performance and reliability. The combination of a patented torsion rod swinger with the Omega shape and support bars results in high accuracy measurement independent of pressure, even at very low flow velocities.
